Big Brothers Big Sisters Programs
Big Brothers Big Sisters Community program—establishes a one-on-one mentoring relationship with children (6-13) from a single parent homes. The match spends 2-4 hours a week together for a period of one year doing activities that improve the youth’s self-esteem.
- Mentoring Children of Promise is the newest program at Big Brothers Big Sister. In this program we match a volunteer with a child who has an incarcerated parent.
- Governors One on One works with children who are court ordered.
Pairs Match program—matches children between the ages of 6-13 with a married couple or two friends that would like to help a child together. The match spend 2-4 hours a week together for a period of one year doing activities that improve the youth’s self-esteem
Class Act program—matches children in a school setting with role models. Together the pair works on classroom activities such as art projects. They eat lunch together or just hang out at the monkey bars. Big Brothers and Sisters work together with the children’s teachers to arrange visit times. The program operates from September to April each school year.
Campus Sidekicks program—matches middle school students with role models from area colleges. The youth visits the college campuses twice a month and spends time with their Big Brothers or Sisters. The program operates from September to April each school year. |
